How are cakes priced?

    We price our tiered cakes (weddings or other events) per person. Single tiered cakes, commonly for birthdays or smaller events, are charged a flat rate depending on the size and how many people it will serve.

How much do you charge?

    We charge $3.50 per person for tiered cakes - this includes ANY cake flavor, ANY buttercream or cream cheese flavored filling, FOUR layers of cake and THREE layers of filling per slice, FROSTED with Vanilla Buttercream, AND any simple piped decor.  Cooked fillings (ganaches, pastry cream, lemon curd, etc...)  are $15 per tier. Fondant and Chocolate Glazed cakes are charged per tier, $25 per tier, and no charge for the smallest tier. (i.e.: 4 tiered cake = 3 x $25 = $75)

Is there a delivery fee?

    Yes, to cover the cost of travel expense, boxes for safe keeping, and fabrics for display. Minimum price is $30 within the Monroe area, price will be adjusted according to distance and complexity of setup.                                   We do travel almost anywhere, so just ask!

What is fondant?

    Fondant is a rolled icing, accociated with the consistancy of a tootsie roll or taffy. With a very sugary taste, the white and ivory fondants are vanilla flavored. White and Dark Chocolate Fondants are also available.  The designs with fondant are endless, they can be painted, embroidered, scuplted, fluted, and much more! The possibilities of design are absolutely endless when using fondant.

What exactly are the sugar flowers made of?

    The sugar flowers are made from a product called gum paste.  Plyable and moldable, the petals and leaves of the flowers are formed one by one, and allowed to dry overnight.  Then they may be tinted with luster dusts, to match any color you’d like!

What do I do if I want fresh flowers on my cake?

    Provide us with the contact information for your florist.  We will call the florist and let them know the quantities that will need to be provided for the arrancgment you prefer.  The florist will leave the flowers at the hall and we will take care of the setup.  There is no charge from Classic Confections for the fresh flower setup.  The flowers will be added to your bill through your florist.

I have a huge wedding! How can I cut my costs?

    Have a smaller displayed cake. Then for additional servings that are needed to feed the numerous guests, we can provide extra cake that can be stored in the back kitchen until it is time to be served.  The extra cake in the back is still 4 layers of cake, 3 layers of filling, and frosted with vanilla buttercream, so when on the plate in front of your guests, they won’t be able to tell the difference!  The charge is $2.50 per person for “cake in the back”.
